PDP MP protests against killings in Parliament premises
Srinagar, Dec 18: Mir Mohammad Fayaz, Member of Parliament of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday protested inside the premises of Parliament against the recent civilian killings in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Fayaz hails from north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, and is a sitting Member of Parliament in the upper house or Rajya Sabha.
Wearing a white T-shirt with ‘Stop Bloodshed in Kashmir’ written on it, the MP held a protest inside Parliament premises near Mahatma Gandhi statue.
The party’s Twitter handle shared the photos of Fayaz, who could be seen protesting inside the Parliament premises.
On Saturday, seven civilians were killed after the government forces opened fire on protesters following a gunfight that left three militants and a soldier dead in Srinoo Pulwama.
