Ramban admin launches skill promotion campaign under Himayat

RAMBAN, DECEMBER 17: District Administration Ramban today launched a mega campaign to promote skill and training   under flagship Himayat scheme.

District Development Commissioner, Showkat Aijaz Bhat flagged off publicity and mobilization Vans for different tehsils    to create awareness about the flagship programme besides registering candidates for training.

Syadwad Jain Educational & Social Trust (SJE&ST) has been entrusted with task of providing skill training to youth both male and female   to take up gainful employment.

The programme has been launched under DeenDayal Upadhyaya – Grameen Kaual Yojana (DDU-GKY) Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) which envisages curbing of unemployment issues and rural empowerment through skill development programme.

Speaking on the occasion, DDC said that HIMAYAT is a placement linked skill development initiative for training and placement of   state’s youth by providing them employment opportunities through vocational training programs.

State Head SJE&ST, Javed Ahmed Mir, informed that youth enrolled for this scheme will be given training for six-months in the job-oriented courses. He informed that the trades including Hotel Management, Electrician, CCTV surveillance, Multipurpose Health Care Workers, Security Guard etc are being offered to 10th passed and above interested   aspirants.   The Youth of the district within age group of 18 to 35 years especially school and college drop-outs can apply for HIMAYAT   Skill Development-cum-Placement programme.
