Have been told @realkashmirfc are facing numerous difficulties down south in the run up to their clash against Gokulam Kerala FC to the point where they are unsure they will be safe playing tomorrow. Request local authorities to intervene to ensure safety of players & staff.

Football fans across India condemned the episode and asked AIFF to intervene.

Later Gokhulam FC responded to the incident and released a statement which denied any mistreatment and made counter allegation. The team went to wrong practice venue and showed unprofessional behavior.”

After the fiasco, RKFC team management has asked for security ahead of I-League match between GKFC and RKFC on Saturday.

RKFC supporters in Kashmir are also expressing concern for safety of staff and players.
