DC Bandipora flags off cross country run in Bandipora

BANDIPORA, DECEMBER 12: Deputy Commissioner Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary on Wednesday flagged off a cross-country run organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports under Khelo India here at SK Stadium.

The run was flagged off at Middle School Konan and culminated at mini secretariat Bandipora. Around 300 school children participated in the run for peace and development.

The Deputy Commissioner along with other officers also participated in the run and accompanied students all through the way up to mini-secretariat. He complimented YSS for organizing the run and urged them to continue holding sports events for over all development of the children.

Dr Choudhary also inaugurated various sports activities under Khelo India.

The Deputy Commissioner gave away medals to the winning teams and the winners of cross country. He also gave away the sports equipment among the participating teams.
