Abedendo scores brace as Real Kashmir FC trounce Shillong Lajong 6-1

Srinagar, Dec 11: It was literally goal fest on Tuesday at TRC ground Srinagar as Real Kashmir FC thrashed Red dragons 6-1 in a loop-sided encounter.

Real Kashmir dominated the proceeding from beginning and shot many times but couldn’t find the net. Shillong Lajong maintained the possession in midfield but couldn’t break RKFC defence.

In 25th minute Krizo made a solo run in the box and put ball for Kofi Abedenedo as he put the ball in net and gave RKFC the lead.

SLFC scored a goal back just after three minutes when RKFC goal keeper Bilal  tried to clear the ball hastily, thereby ball  got blocked by Lyngdoh which  ended  up in net.

RKFC again came on front in 37th minute as Mason Rabortson headed the ball past goalkeeper on corner kick.

Snow Leopards scored another one before half time when Tamang beautifully guided the ball to far corner of goalpost and scored his first goal of the season.

In early minutes of second half RKFC earned penalty and Krizo converted calmly and gave RKFC 3 goal lead.

Lajjong although kept the possession but RKFC defence was too much for them.

There was no looking back for Real Kashmir. Surchandra Singh slashed the free ball in net and scored fifth goal for RKFC in the match.

Shillong Lajjong FC were flooded with Real Kashmir attacks and in the run Shahnawaz Bashir put a pinpoint cross for Kofi from left flank, Kofi  made no mistake and headed the ball past goalie and scored his second of match and took the score line to 6-1.

All stats of the match were in favour of RKFC except possession.

With this win RKFC claimed to 3rd on points table with 13 points and Shillong Lajong remained at relegation spot.
