Ganai listens to people’s issues, assures early redressal

JAMMU, DECEMBER 10: Advisor to the Governor, Khurshid Ahmed Ganai, Monday listened to people’s issues here under the aegis of Governor’s Grievance Cell where he met several public delegations and individuals who apprised him about their issues and demands.

Over 20 delegations and scores of individuals apprised the Advisor about their pressing demands and sought prompt intervention from the Government in ensuring speedy and time-bound redressal.

Several delegations from education department apprised the Advisor about various issues including transfer of lecturers and SRO-43 cases in School Education Department.  A grievance regarding visually impaired teacher was also brought into the Advisors notice.

The Advisor urged the teachers to understand their responsibilities and perform their duties with dedication and professionalism. He added that school administrations should initiate steps towards getting National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation and to work towards imparting quality education.

A delegation demanded up-gradation of High School upto the level of Higher Secondary School at Thesil tamnagar. Another delegation apprised the Advisor regarding establishment of Degree College at Kashtighar.

Another delegation apprised the Advisor about various issues of Govt. Degree College Paloura.

A delegation of M.Tech Computer Science students called for consideration of their degree for the post of lecturer.

A delegation from Jammu & Kashmir Cooperative Apex Level body apprised the Advisor about various issues.

A delegation of in-service veterinary graduates demanded their absorption in the department.

Several other delegations raised issues about their respective areas and demanded timely redressal of their grievances.

The Advisor gave a patient hearing to all the delegations and assured them that their grievances and demands will be looked into for early redressal.
