JKLF holds candle light protests

Srinagar: Leaders and activists of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), staged candlelight protests at Zaina-Kadal Srinagar and Pathan-Pora Budgam against alleged human rights abuses.

“Today on seventh consecutive day, JKLF leaders and activists braving heavy police restrictions, intimidations’ and threats gathered at Zaina-Kadal Srinagar and Pathan-Pora Budgam Kashmir and held peaceful candlelight protests against ongoing onslaught against Kashmiris,” a JKLF spokesman said in a statement issued today.

In his message sent out from police lock-up, that was delivered by JKLF leaders to protesters present in today’s programs, JKLF Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik has said that today world is celebrating international human rights day, seminars and programs will be held.

“Kashmir is today burning and Kashmiris are being brutalized by but no one is uttering a word against this inhuman behavior of which is most regrettable,” spokesman quoted Malik as saying in his message.
