Geelani pays tributes to slain militants

Srinagar: Paying tributes to the militants killed in an encounter at Mujgund Srinagar, All Parties Hurriyat Conference chairman, Syed Ali Geelani said that the youth are sacrificing their precious lives and we are duty bound to carry their mission to its logical conclusion.

“Since past three decades, our nation while nourishing freedom movement and demanding their right to self-determination, has presented huge sacrifices,” said Geelani in a statement issued here today.

Meanwhile, on the occasion of “World Human Rights Day”, Hurriyat chairman Syed Ali Geelani in a statement said that the UNHRC was established in 1948, to safeguard the individual and collective human rights throughout the world to ensure global peace and tranquility, but unfortunately it has failed to uphold its own slogan.

Hurriyat chairman said that oppressed people have and use every means to strengthen their movement, catalyze their vigor and enhance their zeal for freedom and our nation has all the ingredients to do so in near future. Insha Allah.

Meanwhile, on the JRL call Tehreek e Hurriyat activists held a candle light demonstration at Aali kadel Srinagar today, said a spokesman.
