GDC Sopore students seek re-examination of psychology paper

Sopore, Dec 09: A number of students studying at Government Degree College (GDC) Sopore on Sunday sought re-examination of psychology paper which was previously held on 12th June 2018.

Speaking to Kashmir Images, the students of BG 3rd semester, batch 2015, said that the University of Kashmir conducted the exam of psychology paper on 11 June, 2018 which was scheduled on 12th June 2018. “The University Authorities preponed the exam without informing the students and since then six months have already passed but no notification for reexamination has been issued,” they added.

The students said that they have to seek admission for post graduate courses and if Kashmir University will fail to hold reexamination in the coming days they will lose one precious academic year.

Principal Degree College Sopore, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, while acknowledging the issue raised by the students said: “I have already taken the issue with the examination wing of Kashmir University.”

“Students have to wait for the re-examination because some exams are underway and more are scheduled this month,” he adde.

Controller Examinations University of Kashmir, Farooq Ahmad, told Kashmir Image that the said exam will be conducted as soon as possible.
