Srinagar: DIG North Kashmir Atul Kumar Goel today visited Police District Handwara where he held a detailed interaction with the jawans. On the occasion, SP Handwara Ashish Kumar Mishar briefed DIG about the Police functioning in Handwara.
A police spokesman in a statement said that earlier DIG NKR visited Police Martyr memorial at District Police Lines Handwara where he paid floral tributes to Martyrs who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
While interacting with the jawans, DIG heard the grievances of the officials and assured them that their genuine demands would be taken up with the appropriate authority, said the spokesman.
Latter, he visited Police Station Vilgam and held a casual inspection of the Police Station & took stock of various issues. He advised officers and officials of the Police station to be more people friendly and to address the issues of the public in a speedy manner.
