Srinagar, Dec 8: Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) has called for a shutdown in Kashmir on Monday, December 10, and urged the people to observe it as a ‘black day’.

December 10 is celebrated globally as Human Rights Day.

In a statement, JRL comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik urged the people to observe complete shutdown to highlight the human rights violations in Kashmir Valley.

The leadership appealed to the international human rights agencies to take note of “grave human rights violations taking place in Kashmir and force India to stop the violations,” said the statement.
