Hurriyat G, JKLF activists stage protests

Srinagar, December 7, 2018: All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders and activists held peaceful protests after congregational Friday prayers in Hyderpora against alleged human rights violations, a spokesman of Hurriyat G said in a statement issued today.

Voicing serious concern over the spree of killings, atrocities and arrests at the hands of government forces, leaders appealed world human rights organization for their cognizance and impressed to raise their voice and come to the rescue of subjugated people in Kashmir, the spokesman said.

While demanding the immediate release of all political prisoners including leaders lodged in and outside state particularly in Tihar Jail, Hurriyat leaders said that by pushing people to wall India will achieve nothing, said the spokesman.

Meanwhile, JKLF leaders and activists along with people organized candlelight protests at Pampore and Ilahi Bagh Srinagar against alleged human rights violations, a JKLF spokesman said in a statement issued today.

“Protests are a part of human rights week programs announced by joint resistance leadership,” the spokesman said.
