Saurabh Bhagat chairs JKEDI Steering Committee Meeting

SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 06: The 118th Steering Committee meeting of Seed Capital Fund Scheme (SCFS) and 62nd meeting of Youth Startup Loan Scheme (YSLS) was held under the Chairmanship of Commissioner Secretary, Labour & Employment Department, Saurabh Bhagat here today.

Two Hundred and Sixty One (261) cases of aspiring entrepreneurs sponsored by Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) under different schemes were approved by the Steering Committee which met here on Thursday.

Out of 402 cases placed before the Committee 235 cases were approved under Seed Capital Fund Scheme while 26 cases were approved under the Youth Startup Loan Scheme. 189 cases were deferred and will be taken up in the next meeting. Two cases were dropped/rejected by the Steering Committee. The decision in respect of the deferred cases shall be taken in the next meeting as more clarifications were sought.

The Steering Committee shall meet again at Jammu on December 18, 2018 to clear the cases of aspiring entrepreneurs trained by JKEDI in Jammu division.

Those who participated in the meeting include Director Employment Department Suman Bhagat, Vice-President A&AP Division Syed Shafat Hussain J&K Bank Limited, Chief Faculty JKEDI Dr. Majid Manzoor Khan as Member/Secretary, District Nodal Officers of JKEDI from Kashmir division, Officers of the Employment Department and sectoral experts from the line departments.
