Real Kashmir FC to take on former champion Aizwal FC

Srinagar, Dec 04: Former I-League champions Aizwal FC will test Snow Leopards today afternoon at TRC ground here.

Victory in the last home match rejuvenated energy in the RKFC (Real Kashmir Football Club) and its supporters as 3 points at home was a big relief and special occasion for the club.

After starting poorly Aizwal FC stunned Kolkata giants East Bangal in last match. It was first win for AFC this season.

Last win has put much-needed confidence in AFC but Snow Leopards are equal match for them. They wouldn’t take the fixture easily .Home conditions and support of RKFC are literally 12th man for them.

In 5 matches, RKFC has won two matches, draw 1 and lost two. They are on 7th spot on points table with 7 points.

In 6 matches Aizwal FC draw two, won one and lost 3. They are 9th on points table with 5 points.

Snow Leopards will like to earn all 3 points keeping in view home conditions, while as draw will be a good result for AFC.

Early there were some apprehensions about the match as RKFC had requested to All Indian Football Federation (AIFF) to postpone 5th and 11th Dec home fixture, keeping view current situation in Kashmir.

AIFF denied postponing the fixtures. Government of J&K has also assured elaborate security arrangements.

Come Sunday afternoon TRC stadium Srinagar will be all buzzing and football fans will experience another enthralling contest amid chilly weather.
