Div Com asks DCs to send proposed revised stamp duty rates

JAMMU, DECEMBER 01: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma today chaired a meeting with Deputy Commissioners of Jammu division regarding stamp duty rates.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, Additional Commissioner, Rahul Sharma, Revenue Attorney, Atul Gupta and Deputy Commissioners of Jammu Division through video conferencing.

Deputy Commissioners apprised the Div Com about the existing rates and also informed that they have prepared draft proposals for increase in stamp duty rates.

All the DCs informed about the area-wise percentage of increase in stamp duty rates in their respective districts.

The Div Com asked the DCs to give reasons to increase the rates of property and also asked to send the draft proposal of stamp duty rates in his office within days.

During the meeting Div Com also discussed various land issues and directed DCs to resolve land issues of BSF, CRPF, Army in their respective districts.
