Bandipora Premier League concludes, Star Eleven Potsha clinches title

Bandipora, Nov 27: Star Eleven Potsha won the final of ‘Bandipora Premier League’ that was played at sports ground Pothshai Bandipora on Tuesday.

The final match of the tournament, witnessed by hundreds of spectators, was played between Star Eleven Potsha and Syed Sultani Hashmie Bandipora.

Batting first, Star Eleven scored 149 runs in allotted 20 overs with all rounder Sheeraz Ahmad scoring brilliant 66 runs. Chasing the target, Syed Sultani Hashmie Bandipora managed to score only 124 runs and thereby Star Eleven winning the match by 25 runs.

Sheeraz Ahmad was awarded Man of the Match and Man of the Tournament award.

Meanwhile, renowned sports activists of Zaingair Sopore, Irfan Dilawar Bhat, who was the Chief Guest felicitated both the teams on the occasion and distributed prizes among them.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony Bhat urged the state government to improve the dilapidated conditions of Pothshai Cricket Ground so that young cricket lovers can enjoy professional cricket on the smooth surface.
