Srinagar, Nov 23: Hurriyat-M chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Friday said the pro-India parties in Kashmir have not earned trust of New Delhi despite submitting to “India’s orders and betraying their own people for past 70 years.”

Addressing the Friday congregation at Jamia Masjid Srinagar, Mirwaiz said that after serving for 70 long years the pro-India parties in Kashmir are being branded as “Pakistan agents and terror supporters by the Indian State.”

“At #JamaMasjid today, NC PDP despite doing New Delhi’s biddings, at the cost of betraying their own people have not been able to earn New Delhi’s trust. After 70 years of loyalty & servitude branded as Pakistan agents and terror supporters by Indian state! Wonder if the realization of the struggle and sacrifices of their own people for deciding their destiny ever hits them, and they give up practicing the politics of sheer opportunism and self interest and have the courage to join in,” Mirwaiz wrote on Twitter.
