Baramulla  : An elderly woman was killed while several others sustained serious injuries after sumo vehicle  turned turtle in frontier village Churanda in north Kashmir’s Uri sector on Friday.
Sources said said that a passenger cab Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK0F 9820 was on its way to Churanda village along Line of Control (LOC) when the driver of the vehicle lost control on his speed and vehicle turned turtle.
Sources  said that in the mishap a 60 year old woman who identified as Nazeeri Begum wife of Beeru Jinder died on spot, while other passengers who were traveling in the vehicle recieved injuries and were rushed to local hospital for advance treatment.
Meanwhile, an  18 2ear Old Boy namely Asif Ali Dar s/o Mohammad Yousif  Dar r/o Trikolbal Pattan while travelling on his bike rammed into a tree at Trikolbal and got critically injured. He was rushed to SDH Pattan where doctors him brought dead.
Meanwhile police took cognizance of this accident.
