Thousands participate in Eid-e-Milad processions at Pulwama district

Pulwama, Nov 21:  Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), was Wednesday celebrated across the state with religious fervor.

Meanwhile, thousands of devotees participated in Eid-e-Milad processions at Pulwama district.

The processions were taken from multiple villages of the Pulwama district which later culminated near Jamai Masjid Pulwama.

While raising slogans of highness of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), people in larger numbers thronged Pulwama market.

Holding green flags people from various villages like Murran, Trichal , Naira, Tahab , Pathen and other villages participated in the Milad processions.

Mohammad Akram Mirwaiz Pulwama district was leading the processions which started from Washbugh locality and later culminated in Murran Chowk Pulwama near Jamia Masjid.

Speaking on the occasion, Mirwaiz said that we are very thankful to God who provided us an opportunity to gather here and celebrate the Eid-e-Milad Nabi. “This day reminds us that all Muslims across the world are same and it is an opportunity for us to prove oneness among Muslims,” he added.
