HASK organized Seerat conference for women in Baramulla
Baramulla: A day long Seerat Conference for women was organized by Human Aid Society Kashmir (HASK) on Thursday at its office auditorium at Dewanbagh Baramulla in which large number of girls, students and women associated with HASK participated
Several women Islamic speakers threw light on the life of Prophet Mohammed (SAW). The conference started by the recitation of Holy Quran and recitation of Naat.
“Islam teaches that men and women are equal before God. It grants women divinely sanctioned inheritance, property, social and marriage rights, including the right to reject the terms of a proposal and to initiate divorce,” said Islamic scholars.
The speakers while highlighting the plight of women in contemporary society said, “Life of Prophet Mohammed (SAW) is panacea to all the issues and problems faced by women in present era.”
On this occasion, Human Aid Society Kashmir distributed blankets, edibles and other food items among needy and poor besides a tailoring machine was provided to a widow.
Chairman HASK Bashir Ahmed Mir said that the aim of organizing the Seerat conference is to provide women folk a remedy to their issues and problems.
