Army holds medical camp at Soitang

Srinagar: Army on 17th November 2018 held a medical camp at Govt Boys Middle School, Soitang in Srinagar wherein a team of Doctors from the Army and civil hospital provided treatment, consultation, counselling and specialised medical care to the villagers.

A defense spokesman in a statement said that the mega medical camp had the provision of free medication.

“Knee Caps and Walking Sticks were also provided to the needy. This Camp was successful in providing medical care to over 300 people who came from villages of Soitang, Lasjan, Shivpora and Ganderbal,” he said.

The villagers were highly appreciative of this Camp as it was a true amalgamation of medical fraternity of both Army and civil doctors which was instrumental in carving out a niche for better health efforts to be provided to the populace belonging to rural areas, added the spokesman.

He further said that to cater to the medical needs of the people in various villages and remote areas of Kashmir, the Army regularly conducts Medical Camps for their betterment and well being.
