DDC flags off Ayushman Bharat Rath in Shopian

SHOPIAN, NOVEMBER 15: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian Dr. Owais Ahmad today flagged off Ayushmaan Bharat Rath under Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) from Mini secretariat Arhama Shopian to create awareness regarding the scheme among the people of the district.

The Ayushman Bharat Rath will cover all the villages of district Shopian to spread awareness regarding the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana (PMJAY)

Speaking on the occasion, DDC said that Ayushman Bharat is National Health Protection Scheme will cover around 7000 poor and vulnerable families and provide coverage up to 5 lakh rupees per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization in the District.

DDC directed all concerned officers and officials to mobilize the field functionaries in generating awareness among the people about the scheme.

Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Chief Medical Officer and other concerned officers were present on the occasion.
