Inter College kho kho tournament for men concludes at KU

Srinagar, Nov 10:  An inter college kho kho tournament for men organised by Directorate of Physical Education and Sports University of Kashmir concluded here on Saturday.

Around 13 colleges of the valley participated in the tournament and the clash for the final title was held between PG (  KU) and GDC Pulwama in which GDC Pulwama comprehensively defeated PG (KU) by an innings.

By organising this tournament the Directorate has revived kho kho game at Inter Department, Inter College and Inter University level and the players were joyous in witnessing the revival of the game.

Coordinator Physical Education and Sports KU Dr. Nisar Ahmad Khan, Assistant Directors Nadeem Ahmad Dar and Towseef Ahmad distributed prizes among both the teams.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Nisar Ahmad appreciated the efforts of his entire team for successfully organising the event after a long time and congratulated both teams for making it to the finals.

“The Kashmir University teams who would participate in North Zone Inter university kho kho men/women tournaments will be shortly deputed for the said competition,” added Dr Nissar.

Dr. Faisal Ahmad PTI GDC Pulwama,  Amjad Qadir, Madam Surjeet Kour were also present on the occasion.
