DC Jammu reviews progress under ‘Ladli Beti’

JAMMU, NOVEMBER 06: Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Ramesh Kumar today reviewed the progress being carried under the ‘Ladli Beti Yojna’ in a meeting held here at DC Office Complex.

During the meeting, the DC approved 582 applications under the scheme and cleared the backlog cases which were pending from 2015.

For effective implementation of the scheme, the DC called upon the concerned officers to widen and intensify public outreach programme under Ladli Beti Yojna.

The DC directed the officers of concerned department to complete the survey list so that the poor and needy girls could get benefits of the scheme as soon as possible. He said that no genuine cases should be left out and also sent back some in complete cases for re-consideration.

The DC further directed the CDPOs to expedite the process of incomplete applications and further directed the concerned for clearing the remaining backlog cases so that needy and poor people should be provided benefits through this scheme with immediate effect.

He entrusted upon the concerned officers to work in synergy so that the needy people could get the maximum benefits from several welfare schemes.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Suraiya Jabeen, Chief Planning Officer, Girdhari Lal Sharma, District Program Officer, ICDS Natasha Kalsotra, CDPOs of Gandhi Nagar, RS Pura, Dansal and Khour besides other senior officers of the concerned department.
