Sopore: Authorities on Friday imposed restrictions, besides suspending internet services, in Sopore town and its outskirts.
In view of militant killing in Sagipora Handwara, a resident of Arampora Sopore, restrictions have put in place across Sopore town to thwart any law and order problem, said a police official.
“We have also ordered the suspension of internet services in the town and its adjoining areas,” he added.
On Thursday night , security forces claimed that they shotdead a local militant, Naseer Ahmad Teli, who was affiliated with Tehrekul Mujhidin since 3 October 2018.
Meanwhile, amid rainfall people on Friday offered funeral prayers for Sopore militant killed last night in Sagipora Handwara in a brief gunfight with government forces .
