Budgam shuts against summoning of Aga Hassan by NIA

Budgam, Nov 02: Amidst complete shutdown, protests erupted in the Budgam township against National Investigation Agency (NIA) for summoning Anjuman Sharie Shian preseident and senior Hurriyat leader, Aga Syed Hassan on Friday.

Raising slogans against NIA, protesters assembled here in the main chowk demanding that their religious leader should not be harassed. “Our protest will continue till Hassan comes to Imam Bargah to lead Friday prayers.”

Earlier, Hassan has left for Humhama as he was “directed” by NIA to present himself before agency.

He was accompanied by a large number of people from his residence to main chowk.

Meanwhile, a complete shutdown is being observed here in town with all the shops and other businesses establishments closed.

Pertinently, Anjuman Sharie Shia, the largest religio-political organisation of Shias in Jammu and Kashmir had called for a shutdown in Budgam.
