FOB organizes ‘Run for Unity’

RAJOURI,  OCTOBER 31: ‘Run for Unity’ was today organised by Field Outreach Bureau, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India, Rajouri to observe ‘National Unity Day’ (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas-2018).

The Run was organised to commemorate the 143rd Birth Anniversary of Sadar Vallabh Bhai Patel, and pay a tribute to the ‘Iron Man of India’ for his contribution towards making India into one Nation.  The ‘Run for Unity’ was flagged off by Dr. Abdul Raoof Dar, Principal, GGHSS, Rajouri in the presence of    Swarn Singh, District Sports Officer, Rajouri,   Ajaz Haider, SHO Rajouri, and   Manzoor Bhat, Vice Principal GBHSS, Rajouri . The event started from GBHSS, Rajouri passed through Mandi- Abdullah Bridge- Old Bus stand- and culminated at Mini Stadium, Rajouri. About 300 people participated including students, teachers, and officials belonging to GBHSS, GGHSS, Gujjar Bakarwal Boys Hostel, Pahari Boys Hostel, GGHS Rajouri. The participants carried National flags, placards and banners to spread the message of National Unity among the masses being the ambassadors of Unity.
