Shopian Municipal Committee Councilors take oath
SHOPIAN, OCTOBER 30: The newly-elected members of Municipal Committee Shopian took oath at a swearing-in-ceremony held here today.
ACR Shopian, Majid Jahangir administered oath to the 11 elected Municipal Committee members in presence of Deputy Commissioner Shopian Dr Owais Ahmad.
The DDC, on the occasion, congratulated the newly elected Councilors and urged them to work with dedication for strengthening the developmental process on grass root level in their respective areas.
Meanwhile, Shubash Chander Koul has been nominated as chairman of the Committee while as Ashok Kumar Koul has been nominated as Vice Chairman for the Municipal body.
