JAMMU, OCTOBER 30: The newly elected Municipal Corporators of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today took oath of office here at a swearing-in ceremony administered by Divisional Commissioner, Sanjeev Verma.
The Corporators for 75 JMC wards including 27 women elects took oath in English, Dogri, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi and Sanskrit languages.
Congratulating the elected members for showing great enthusiasm in strengthening the grass root level democracy, the Div Com urged upon them to meet the aspiration of people and take development in the Jammu city to new heights.
Among others, Speaker Legislative Assembly, Dr Nirmal Singh, Members of Parliament, Legislators, District Election Officer, Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Arvind Kotwal, Heads of several departments besides Returning Officers were present on the occasion.
