Three suspected militants arrested after brief shootout in Srinagar outskirts: Police

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday claimed to have arrested three suspected militants after a  brief shootout near Noora Hospital on the outskirts of Srinagar city.

Quoting reports, news agency GNS reported that a car was signalled to stop by a naka party in Narbal. The persons travelling in the vehicle fired upon the naka party. The cops retaliated, triggering a brief shootout

SSP Srinagar Imtiaz Ismail Parray said that Naka has been established following specific information about the moment of militants.

As the car passed through the area, the security forces asked them it to stop but the persons travelling in the vehicle opened fire which resulted into a brief shootout.

Those arrested identified as Aqib Ahmad Dhobi S/o Gh Mohd Dhobi R/o Tral , Zahid S/o Abdul Rashid Rather R/o Posh Wana Awantipora
while as Tariq Ahmad sheikh S/o Ahad Sheikh r/o Dangerpora Pulwama is injured. He has straightway taken to Theater for treatment.

Meanwhile sources also said Arms and ammunition was recovered from them
