Srinagar, Oct 26: The government has warned the college professors of administrative action for refusing to participate in examination duty at their respective colleges.

The circular in this regard has been issued by Director Colleges, J&K Zahoor Ahmad Chatt.

“It has been brought to the notice of administrative department that some faculty members refuse to undertake examination related activities, putting the college administration into a difficult situation,” the circular reads.

It reads that any dereliction in the performance of these duties by any faculty member shall warrant administrative action under service rules.

“It is reiterated that teaching, evaluation and extension have been recognized as essential activities to be performed by faculty associated with higher education institutions,” reads the circular.
