Police erects banners at Kreeri warning people of unxploded shells at encounter site

Baramulla: After recent civilian killings in an explosion at encounter site in South Kashmir, police has erected warning banners outside the residential house prohibiting people to venture in the area as live explosives could be under the debris of the destroyed housing.

Written in both English and Urdu, banners and posters erected in Authoora Kreeri appeal people not to venture inside the gunfight site till the area is sensitised by bomb disposal squad.

In Sopore, police spokesman also requested people not to venture near the encounter site as it prove fatal

“Citizens are once again requested not to venture inside the encounter zone since such an area can prove dangerous due to stray explosive materials.,” police spokesman said.

He added that  people are requested to cooperate with police till the area is completely sanitized and cleared of all the explosives materials if any.
