Srinagar, Oct 18: A man died and three others were injured after a bus carrying Vaishno Devi pilgrims met with an accident in Katra area on Thursday.
An official said a bus (UP13AT-8585) heading towards Katra from Jammu went out of the driver’s control and hit a barricade at Moori Naka, leaving four passengers injured.
He said the injured were rushed to CHC Katra where one of the injured, identified as Khajuru (45), son of Ratan of Rajipur Palwal Haryana succumbed.
The other injured, identified as Mahesh Kumar (28), son of Parkash, resident of Rampur UP; Sonu Kumar (28), son of Roshan Pal of Shikarpur district Bulandshahar UP, and Mithan Lal (50), son of Ganeshi Thakur of Chainpur Shikarpur, were referred to GMC&H Jammu for specialised treatment.
