DDC Kupwara visits Mannigah; Takes stock of availability of essentials

KUPWARA, OCTOBER 18: District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir today conducted an extensive tour of  Mannigah area of the district to check availability of basic amenities to the people including those related to roads, electricity, water, health etc.

Pertinent to mention here, Mannigah has been connected to the grid recently.

He inspected various ongoing developmental projects carried out by various departments and agencies and issued on-spot directions to the concerned officers for necessary coordinated course of action towards completion of pending projects.

The DDC visited 7.50 km Shatpora Mannigah Behaksabya road taken up under NABARD by R&B Department. He was informed that major portion of the road has been black topped.

The DDC inspected the Health Sub-Centre constructed by RDD and directed the PDD to complete HT/LT within one week for uninterrupted power supply.

While interacting with the people of the area DDC assured them that every household shall be connected to the grid. He said that measures towards this direction are going on in full swing and directed the concerned department to ensure power connectivity and availability on priority basis.

The DDC also inspected Mannigah and Shalibathu  roads  taken up under PMGSY during which he directed the concerned agency to speed up the pace of work and ensure completion of roads within the stipulated time frame.

He was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Development, Yaar Ali Khan, representatives of various departments and concerned officials.
