Boniyar Uri : A gunfight broke out between forces and militants near Torna Post near Line of Control in Trikanjan Boniyar in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday.
Sources in Army said that four militants were  killed in the gunfight but there was no confirmation from Army or Police officials.

“We can’t confirm unless we have dead bodies. There was firing near LOC in the morning near Tournament post Boniyar,” said SSP Imtiyaz Hussain.
Sources said that a search party of army’s 5 Grenadier intercepted a group of militants at Torna post in the woods of Boniyar at around 8:30 a.m.
After being intercepted, the militants opened fire, triggering off the gunfight which according to sources continued intermittently till 12:30 pm.
According to local news agency, An army officer confirmed the incident and said that four unidentified militants have been killed and their identity and group affiliation are being ascertained. He said since the area has tough terrain, bodies are being carried to police station and will be possible handover tomorrow.
“Three bodies were recovered at around 1:30 pm and later one more body was recovered late in the evening as the area is a high terrain and have dense forest cover,” he added.
