Train service resumes in south Kashmir after 2 days
Srinagar, Oct 14: The train service resumed on Sunday on Srinagar-Banihal track after two days of suspension for security reasons.
The service was suspended following the killing of militant in Pulwama district of south Kashmir on Saturday.
A fresh advisory was received last night from police to resume train service in the Valley today and railway authorities are acting on the advice of state administration, a senior railway official said.
Train service resumed yesterday in north Kashmir after remaining suspended on Friday when separatists had called for a general strike against the killing of two militants in an encounter with government forces in Handwara on Thursday.
