Commissioner Secy Labour & Employment calls on Governor
SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 12: Commissioner Secretary Labour & Employment, Saurabh Bhagat called on Governor Satya Pal Malik at Raj Bhavan today.
The Secretary briefed the Governor about activities and programmes being undertaken by the department in the state. He also informed the Governor of special programmes initiated for welfare of labourers, including welfare schemes for building and construction workers, rehabilitation of child and bonded labourers, payment of provident fund, rationalization, medical insurance to all government employees among others.
Governor stressed upon the importance of employee welfare and urged the Secretary to ensure that delays are avoided in resolving the pending issues of the labourers including casual workers.
