Randomization of EVMs completed in Ganderbal

GANDERBAL, OCTOBER 11: First Level Randomization of EVMs was today completed for the smooth conduct of Elections to the Municipal Committee Ganderbal.

The randomization was completed in the presence of Nodal Election Officer Naseer Ahmad Wani, General Observer, ROs/AROs and contesting candidates for different polling stations.

General Observer monitored the process of randomization of EVMs and briefed candidates about the methodology used in the allocation of EVMs, Ballot Units & Control Units.

After the randomization, the EVMs were identified for shifting from warehouse to the strong room where they will be kept under tight security and protection. From here the EVMS will be handed over to Polling Parties for the respective Polling Stations allotted to them through second level of randomization which would be carried out in a day or two.

The Nodal Officer directed the officers associated with the elections to work with utmost dedication and devotion for successful completion of ULB polls. He assured the participants that all necessary arrangements have been put in place for ensuring free, fair and transparent elections in the district.

The ULB polling in Ganderbal district would be held on October 16.
