Handwara: In ongoing gunfight, two militants were killed on Thursday at Shatgund in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
A top police said two militants were killed on the encounter so far and search operation is still going at Shatgund Balla area of Handwara.
The slain militants could not be identified immediately.
Official sources said gunfight broke out after forces lunched search operation in Shatgund and Qalamabad in Handwara and hiding militants opened fire on joint search party.
