Four persons injured in bear attack in Budgam

Budgam, Oct 9:  Four persons were injured after a Bear attacked them in Shunglipora village of Khag tehsil in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Tuesday.

The injured persons have been identified as Manzoor Ahmad Sheikh, Abdul Rashid Khan, Ishfaq Ahmad Malik and Sajad Ahmad Malik.

Local reports said that a bear appeared in Shunglipora village on Tuesday afternoon and attacked the persons who came in his way.

Locals said that two among the four injured people have been shifted to Srinagar hospital for specialized treatment, while as the condition of two other is stable.

They added, “one among the two persons who were shifted to Srinagar hospital has suffered serious injuries and is in critical condition.”
