ULB Election: Presiding officer suspended for violating norms in Bandipora

Srinagar: Authorities on Monday suspended a presiding officer after he allowed women to accompany a voter up to the compartment during the ongoing polls in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

The polls in the valley have started from 7: 00 am today. The officer was suspended for violating the norms in Kaloosa area of the district.

As the elections are going on, reports said that the district authorities have shifted another officer to the said polling station.
