Srinagar: A Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Inspector shot himself dead with his service rifle while on duty in Dignibal area in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Sources said the deceased as Inspector Goti Lal 50, son of late K K Ram belt no 12070015 a resident of Akhnoor Jammu.
They said, the soldier took the extreme step while he was on duty at his unit in Dingibal camp housing 13bn SSB.
They said the soldier’s colleagues rushed to help him after they heard the sound of a gunshot. “He was lying dead,” they added.
