PCPG meetings held Kargil and Wakha

Srinagar: SHO Police Kargil Shri Lotus Rabgais held a PCPG (Police Community Partnership Group) meeting with Taxi drivers and other people regarding traffic awareness at Police Station Kargil.

A statement issued by police said that during the meeting, SHO P/S Kargil highlighted the importance of following traffic rules. They were advised to avoid mobile phone during driving and strictly adhere the traffic rules. During the meeting various issues like shortage of parking space, drinking water at taxi stand etc were put forth by the drivers and others. SHO P/S Kargil assured them that issues pertaining to civil department shall be taken up with concerned for early redressal. The meeting was attended about 100 drivers and other people.

Meanwhile, I/C PP Wakha convened PCPG meeting at Police Post Wakha Kargil. The meeting was attended by prominent persons of village Wakha, Mulbek, Shargole, Fokar Phoo and Tingdo. During the meeting the participants raised various issues pertaining to stray dogs, killing of their live-stocks by wild bear, non-availability of enough lineman of electric department etc. During the meeting SI Mohd Baqir, Incharge Police Post Wakha assured them that the issues pertaining to the police department shall be resolved on priority basis and the issues pertaining to civil departments shall be taken up with the concerned for their early redressal.

At the end of the meetings, participants appreciated the role of district police Kargil for organizing such police public meetings through which they could forward their grievances to concerned authorities for redressal.
