However, some sources said that nine rifles and a pistol were missing.

Sources said that Adil Bashir Sheikh, 24, originally belongs to Zainpora Shopian.

Sources said that police has registered a case and started investigations besides launching a manhunt to nab the deserted cop.

Sources said that MLA was not at his residence when the incident happened.

Sources said that MLA had gone to Chandigarh with some health related issue. He had reached Jammu yesterday and called his security that he will be coming home on Saturday.

The security men, it seems, had dumped the weapons at his official residence and went to have a break. As they reached back to Jawahar Nagar today, they found all the weapons alongwith the SPO missing.

Sources said that the pistol belongs to the MLA.
