RAMBAN, SEPTEMBER 18: This mountainous district today witnessed a Multilingual Mushaira’ at Government Higher Secondary School, Gool and a Volley Ball Match at Government High School, Kanthi under Khelo India” Sports for Peace and Development” a integrated youth engagement programme.
Head Master GH Kanti, Mangal Singh, appreciated the participating teams for their performance while ZEPO, Ramban R.N Koul informed that competitions of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho and Volley Ball are being organised in Khanthi under different age groups for both girls and boys.
At multilingual Mushiara, Tehsildar, Gool, Mohammad Ashraf was the chief guest where as renowned writer and poet principal of Host School, Nana ji Tiku was the guest of honour at the Musharia.
Renowned poet, Mohammad Shafi Jral hoped that such cultural cum educative programmes would go a long way in making the youth understand the culture and tradition of the state.
Around 42 poets including locals poets, teachers and students from different parts of Ramban district recited their poetry in Urdu, Dogri, Hindi and Kashmiri which mesmerized the audience.
