Ganderbal September 17: A weekly Urdu tabloid ‘Glacier Times’ was today unveiled in mini Secretariat Ganderbal here.
DC Ganderbal Piyush Singla and SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal formally launched the tabloid.
On the occasion DC Ganderbal said, “I hope the publication will maintain its trust among its readers and will contribute to the field of journalism with free and impartial manner.”
“Media is called fourth estate of democracy and media has big role to play. I hope the newspaper will work as a bridge between people, government and administration.”
Meanwhile, editor of the tabloid Umar Raina said that our main motive is to give voice to voiceless. Our newspaper will maintain integrity of journalism.”
ADC Ganderbal,Chief horticulture officer, politician Farooq Ganderbali, prominent journalists among other were present during the inaugural ceremony.
