Srinagar, Sep 16: At least seven persons were injured in a road accident on Srinagar-Leh highway at Baroosa in Lar area of Ganderbal on Sunday.

An official said that a passenger vehicle (JK01F-9303) was traveling from Sumbal to Ganderbal when it collided with a load carrier carrying seven persons resulting in injuries to seven persons.

All the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital wherefrom they were shifted to SKIMS Soura for further treatment.

The injured were identified as Ghulam Nabi Dar, Bilal Ahmad Dar, Nazir Ahmad, Javid Ahmad, Ghulam Ahmad Dar, Ajaz Ahmad Dar and Jahangeer Ahmad Dar. They all are residents of Sumbal area of Bandipora.

Police have taken cognizance of the case.
