Congress protests against Rafael Deal, submits memorandum to Governor

Srinagar Sept. 15, District Congress Committee Srinagar as part of its nation-wide agitation against the Rafael Deal by the Narinder Modi Govt organized a meeting of senior party workers and leaders of the District and lodged a strong protest against the deal.

The party leaders and workers in a meeting held at PCC Office Srinagar presided over by District President Congress Irfan Naqib raised slogans against the Rafael Deal and blamed BJP for benefitting a particular Corporate Giant of the Country to serve it’s vested interests, a statement issued by the party said.

They said the Rafael Deal has put a burden of thousands of crores on Govt exchequer, this way Centre Govt is looting the nation in an organized manner. The Rafael Deal is one among the big scandals as demonetization by the Centre Govt., added the statement.

The statement further said: :The leaders said the BJP Govt at Centre has damaged the economy of the country to benefit corporates, so that the money keeps pumping in their treasuries for fighting 2019 elections, but the people of country have realized that vote to BJP amounts to strengthening the corruption, communalism, besides strengthening the fascist forces in the country.”

Later, Congress Leaders led by Irfan Naqib submitted a detailed Memorandum to the Governor through Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, added the statement.
