Srinagar, Sep 13: Advocate lone Altaf has filed Public interest litigation (PIL) in High Court of J&K urging the Court to protect forests wealth in Sind forest division.
The PIL is listed to be heard on Friday.
The PIL has been filed against the backdrop of rising concern and displeasure by environmental activists and local residents of Ganderbal over cutting down of hundreds of trees in Sindh forest division for laying of 220 KV Srinagar (Alastang) to Leh power transmission line.
