Sopore: A fierce gunfight is on between militants and government forces in North Kashmir’s Sopore town.
Sources told Kashmir images, after receiving specific information about presence of militants, 22RR, SOG and crpf cordoned off Mohalla Teliyan arampora sopore and started house to house searches.
“Soon after forces reached close to the house where the militants were hiding, they opened indiscriminate firing on forces,” they added.
They said that two foreign militants are believed to be trapped .
Additional deputy commissioner Sopore Ahiq Hussain Lily told Kashmir images that in view of ongoing encounter all educational institutions will remain closed today .
Meanwhile, all internet services continue to remain suspended in Sopore.
